Pogo The Clown Turned Killer Clown

Strangely, he was known around town as “Pogo the Clown” because he would dress up as a clown to help during fundraisers and other charity events. This title was later changed to “Killer Clown” when police eventually realized that he was responsible for kidnapping, raping, murdering and burying a number of boys on his home property. When he was finally put to death, his final words to the world were, “Kiss my ass.”

Like many other killers, James French obviously had a strange and twisted mind. Sometime in 1958, he had been hitchhiking when he decided to kill the person that had kindly picked him up. He was caught and put into prison, and was meant to live out his sentence in jail.
