The Gorilla Man

Once these women, the victims he would find a way to deceive, would become comfortable with him, he would molest, rape and kill them, sometimes even performing necrophilia on their dead bodies. Known to many as “The Gorilla Man,” his supposed last words before his death were, “I am innocent. I stand innocent before God and man. I forgive those who have wronged me and ask forgiveness of those I have injured. God have mercy!”

It would seem that before the time of Adolf Hitler, there was already one serial killer that Germany had to contend with, Peter Kürten. Born in May of 1883, he was described by Doctor Karl Berg as “The king of the sexual perverts.” He committed an unbelievable amount of heinous and disgusting acts on young and old people alike. From a young age, he was committing bestiality, killing the animals he was performing sexual acts with, in order to be satisfied. This eventually made him realize that killing was what would give him the most pleasure.
