Amy Locane

Amy Locane, of infamous 90s melodrama Melrose Place, was three times over the legal alcohol limit when she would drive and hit the car of 60-year old Helene Seeman. Seeman, whose husband was also inside the car with her, died while husband Fred suffered major injuries. Locane got a 3-year sentence but was luckily released 6 months early, but lost custody of her 2 young girls nonetheless. She’s been in treatment and trying to win back her girls since.

Michael Brea

Michael Brea happened to be a Haitian-American actor who came out in the television show Ugly Betty, and the movie Step Up 3-D, to name a few. But it would seem that he was dealing with bouts of mental illness when the police showed up on his Brooklyn apartment doorstep after he had viciously murdered his own mother using a samurai sword while screaming bible verses and the words “Repent, Repent, Repent!” He was placed in a mental institution after explaining that he killed her because he saw ‘the devil in her.’
