Diabetics are more susceptible to skin issues and are more prone to suffer from bacterial infections such as boils, fungal growths, and itching, Fungal infections, especially yeast infections, are very common in people with high blood sugar levels that they may even be considered as the first sign of diabetes.in people who have not yet been diagnosed. Most of the time, these infections affect obese people, appearing between skin folds that are difficult to reach and clean. Also, newer anti-diabetic drugs (SGLT-2 class), increase risk of fungal infection in the genitals because they promote sugar secretion in the urine, a known food source for fungus.
