18. Abnormally Low Blood Sugar Level

Hypoglycemia or very low blood glucose level is an acute complication caused by antidiabetic treatments, usually occurring when insulin is administered incorrectly, when a diabetic patient on medication exercises too much, or when a patient isn’t able to eat enough following an insulin shot. Severe hypoglycemia causes panic attacks, altered consciousness, coma, seizures, brain damage or even death.
