Others Say He Was ‘A Good Kid’

For Nick’s relatives, especially his uncle Lee Browning, he said that Nick was “a good kid. There were no issues with him whatsoever.” But it would seem that what his uncle believed was really the furthest thing from the truth.

Not Knowing What Was Truly Going On

Apparently, it wasn’t just John who was harsh on Nick, but his mother Tamara as well. Not only were his parents incredibly strict, they expected only the best for their boys, especially with Nick being the eldest. It was said that his ‘parents routinely berated him – and sometime slapped or backhanded him – over his grades, his appearance, his treatment of his younger brothers, his religious convictions and his morals.’ And that wasn’t all they did.
