Matthew, Richard’s eldest son with Linda, is now turning 34, and raises a family of his own. He still wonders to this day how his father could have done the thing he did. Deep inside, he knew Richard would come back, and that he’s certain that his dad got mixed up with some bad people, which made him decide to take off.
A painful reminder
He wears his father’s ring to this day so that he will be constantly reminded of the terrible things his father did. He vows never to commit the same mistake Richard did, and that he will never abandon his own family.
