Going Out For A Trial Run

Deleon asked the couple if he could bring along two friends while they took the boat out for a spin on another day. And given that the Hawks’ believed that he was a legit buyer, they agreed, allowing friends Alonso Machain, and interestingly another guy named John Fitzgerald Kennedy who he claimed was his accountant, onto their boat. And this would be the very last time they would ever be seen again.

Never Coming Back

It was November 15, 2004 when the group, excluding the pregnant Jennifer Deleon and her young daughter, would head out on the water. At the time, the Hawks’ hadn’t told anyone about Deleon’s interest in buying the yacht. So when the couple never came home, people began to wonder what had happened to them.
