Finally, A Breakthrough In The Case

Eleven months after the double murder, their roommate Lauren still couldn’t  let go of what had happened. She kept thinking, “It turns my world into looking around and having a suspicion about everybody. I was thinking everybody was a suspect – any of my friends.” When police shared with Lauren that the murderer was most probably a smoker, she recalled Eric Copple, who was the boyfriend of Lily, Adriane’s best friend, was a smoker. She told the police about him saying he was a “very shy, very quiet guy. Not very social at all.” Authorities found themselves looking into the possibility that the killer was, in fact, Lily’s now current husband.

The Surprise Suspect Turned Murderer

Once the police began to link the DNA of the blood found in the house to the DNA of the cigarette butts, they released the information to the public. Detective Shulman, who was trying to solve the case said, “We feel like its something that may prompt someone in the public to make that one phone call that’s going to lead to the identity of the killer.” In less than five days, they finally had their answer.
