One well-known boyfriend of Leslie was her college boyfriend Brian West. They had only been dating for a few months when Brian decided to buy Leslie a car. Then after their breakup, Brian supposedly made a “tribute” website for Leslie to show his profound love for her. One of the lead detectives on the case had asked one of Leslie’s friends Amy, “Does that strike you as normal? You break up with a woman and you’re not happy about it and then you make a website about her?” Amy went on to explain, “No, that’s not normal but I think because I know Brian, it’s kind of normal to me. I just know that he idolized her.”

When they exhausted most of Leslie’s suitors, eyes turned to Adriane’s intermittent boyfriend Christian Lee. According to best friend Lily Prudhomme, who was mentioned earlier, “She’d come to work crying and of course being a friend, we would console her and towards the end, we only saw the negative side of Christian.” Upon hearing of this, the police decided to question Christian Lee in the premises of his home.
