Bombing Vietnam

An image of the United States Airforce shows a high-altitude Boeing B-52 Stratofortress dropping a stream of bombs over Vietnam. Aptly called Operation Rolling Thunder, it was the title of a gradual and sustained aerial bombardment campaign conducted by the United States against North Vietnam from March 2, 1965 until November 2, 1968 during the Vietnam War. It was the most intense air battle waged by United Sates and was the most difficult campaign fought since the aerial bombardment of Germany during World War II.
