Authorities Check Out The Scene

As soon as the police got the call from the school administration, they went straight to the house to check out the scene. The house, which was located on College Avenue, seemed empty upon their arrival. They knocked and door belled, but to no avail. They ended up forcing their way in, and when they finally got inside, Benjamin Byers was there, along with a lot of other evidence.

Lying To The Police

Immediately, police asked Benjamin where his ex-wife was, but he lied and said that he hadn’t seen her since Monday. But upon further inspection of the house, the detectives knew that what the young girl had told her teachers was most probably true. There was blood in many different areas of the house, and it looked like someone was trying to cover up a crime.
