Awaiting A Trial Date

Currently, there is still no schedule for when Benjamin Byers will appear in court to face the charges against him. But despite that, the fact that he is behind bars with a large bond, and that Melissa’s juvenile daughter is now with her older daughter, at least people can rest easy knowing that Benjamin will hopefully get the maximum prison sentence for his crimes.

A Silver Lining

Despite the fact that Melissa is no longer around to live out her dream of making a better life for her and her young daughter, there’s comfort in knowing that her two daughters are now together. And while it’s not easy to see the silver lining in such a sad and tragic story, the fact that the 7-year old has someone to take care of her is a victory in itself. Melissa can rest in peace knowing that her daughters now have each other.
