Their Gravesite

Although there is a gravesite where people can go and pay tribute to the couple, in Phil’s will, he had stipulated that he wanted his ashes to be scattered in various areas around California, like the under the Golden Gate Bridge and along the Malibu Coast. And while many still had a hard time getting over the manner in which Phil died, his brother John would say during their funeral, “They were victims of the same accident. There is no one to hate and no blame to be laid. I beg you to forgive her. So put this incident in your past and close the door. Forget – if you can.”

20 Years Later

Many years have passed since Brynn Hartman took her life and that of her husband, 20 years to be exact. And since then, Phil’s memory is still burned in the hearts and minds of many. His lovable characters on ‘The Simpsons,’ as well as other remarkable roles are still applauded until this very day. As the years pass since the couple’s death, the memory of how they died may have faded somewhat but the impact that Phil’s career had on Hollywood is something that will always be cherished and applauded. One can only hope that they too are now resting, happy, and finally at peace with one another as their true legacies continue in the lives of their children.
