The Last Straw

It was said that on Mother’s Day of 1997, Brynn would once again return home completely wasted on cocaine and alcohol. And when she entered her and Phil’s $1.2 million home in Encino, he would shout at her, telling her that if she didn’t shape up, he was finally going to leave her. Weirdly, a friend claimed that Brynn had been asking Phil for a divorce for the last two years but he wouldn’t give her one. But it would seem that he was finally at his wits end, and he was ready to finally give up.

The Day That Everything Went Wrong

Although many friends close to the couple knew the kind of trouble they were in, no one could have seen the horrific turn of events that was going to take place in the early morning hours of May 28, 1997. Brynn decided to go out with her friend, Christine Zander, the night before, and have a few drinks at Buca di Beppo. And while the two said their goodbyes at around 10 that evening, Brynn wasn’t even close to being done.
