They would not only develop characters together, but they would act together on a number of television shows and movies.

Phil would end up joining Saturday Night Live, otherwise known as SNL. And while it was said to be in its heyday in the late 80’s and 90’s, the show is still quite popular until today. And aside from Phil, comedy heavy hitters like Jim Belushi, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey and so many more can attest to their successful careers because of SNL. When Phil joined the cast in 1986, he would shoot to fame, even earing an Emmy for his hilarious portrayal of President Clinton.
