Finally Taking His First Steps

It would take some time for Brecon to get through his physiotherapy in order to make his legs strong enough to walk without his walker, the day finally came that he would ask his parents if he could. According to his mom, “He just said ‘I’m sick of people staring and being different’ and he said he wasn’t using the walker any more.”

Worried About Hurting Himself

Ann shared that it didn’t come with its fair share of insecurities. She explained, “I was frantic thinking he’d fall over and hurt himself but he took those first initial steps. And even though they were very wobbly steps he never used the walker again.”
