Hearing About Brecon Vaughan

Dan heard about a 5-year old boy named Brecon Vaughan who lived right outside his hometown in South Wales, who suffered from cerebral palsy, otherwise known as CP. CP ‘is a disorder that affects muscle tone, movement, and motor skills.’ It usually affects babies in utero, creating difficult living situations for these children from the day they are born.

Born With A Lot Of Defects

Brecon was born with ‘diplegia cerebral palsy, which causes stiffness in his legs, poor balance and coordination.’ Both hips were dislocated, and at just 5 days from the day he was born, he was placed in a pelvic harness. And just a few months after he was born, he had undergone three separate operations.
