Calling Someone Else

Beginning to worry even more after Howard didn’t respond to the 11 shocks from the defibrillator, Goodman decided to call someone else for advice. Roger White happened to be a cardiac arrest expert, and Goodman knew that he could talk him through what he should do.

Finally Beating Again

After the last dose of the heart medication amiodarone, Howard’s heart finally started beating once more. So once they could keep him in a semi-stable condition, they were able to load him in the helicopter and fly him to the Mayo Clinic hospital.
