Wish Granted

Barger got her wish almost immediately. The next day, a woman’s frozen body was located in the Blue River, a place that was just a walking distance from Stephanie’s home. The woman was lying face up, with half her body submerged, and the only article of clothing on her was a teal colored shirt that was only attached to her arm. There were no footprints, no other clues. Was she sexually assaulted? How did she die? More importantly, was this Stephanie Roller?

While there were no signs of sexual assault, Stephanie’s clothes were nowhere to be found. The killer made sure to get rid of those. Barger, however, took a closer look and immediately recognized the face. It was indeed the missing mother. When asked to describe what she saw, the police officer couldn’t express herself well enough. She saw the pictures and the woman at the lake certainly had lost all signs of life.
