Looking at Hang Nga Guesthouse, observers would think whoever designed the building must have been out of his mind. But for architect Dang Viet Nga, the concept was artistry in its raw form; he took inspiration from natural forms such as caves, spider webs, mushrooms and animals. InHabitat.com says the actual structure might look exceptionally creepy to most, but it can be quite an experience to stay in the wildly organic, massive tree trunk that they call a guesthouse.

With an outlandish exterior design that echoes the forms of nature, the Hang Nga Guesthouse has animal-themed guest rooms. It’s the “Crazy House” alright, but TheStar.com calls it a real standout beauty that transcends the traditional and redefines the unique. More than that, it is Architect Dang Viet Nga’s unusual way of constantly reminding humans to go back to nature and make use of it without causing destruction or altering it altogether.
