There Was Another Victim

Where the detectives had believed that he only had a handful of victims, which was already more than enough, they would find out that there was actually another one. After checking O’Leary’s files on his hard drive, they would find a particular file that read “Girls” and inside that folder was a trove of evidence, photos of the women he had savagely raped, showing the women with terror written all over their faces, posing in highly lewd and strange ‘fantasy roles.’ Incredibly, one was even photographed with her driver’s license on her chest, and her name was remarkably familiar to them.

Det. Galbraith knew about Marie’s case since it garnered national news from having her recant her statement. It was humiliating for the young girl, but it would soon be found out that she had been bullied into taking back her statement of rape at that time. Det. Not only did the policemen whom refused to believe her have to answer for their wrongdoings, but Marie, who had originally paid $500 as a fine for lying, had been awarded $150,000 after she had sued them for mishandling her and her case. Thankfully, she was no longer suffering in silence. Finally, she knew someone believed her story to be true.
