Telling Her Husband About It

When Detective Galbraith got home that night, she decided to fill her husband in on the day’s events. He was a police officer too, but he worked in another department, the Westminster Police Department. After listening to what his wife had dealt with that morning, he realized that her story sounded too familiar, saying, “We have one just like that.” He told her to get in touch with his department the next morning to find out more about it. So that’s exactly what she decided to do.

Talking To Hendershot

Another female Detective, Edna Hendershot, had received an email from Galbraith asking about possible similarities between cases. And after reading about what had happened, Hendershot remembered a rape case she responded to in August of 2010, just 5 months before. The rapist had also entered the apartment while the victim was sleeping, tied her hands behind her back and took photos of her with her own camera while forcing her to pose. The camera happened to be a pink Sony digital camera that had the same description as the one he had used during the attack on the 26-year old victim.
