19. Bigger Planes Don’t Mean Better Pilots
Lots of passengers assume that if they’re on a bigger airplane, it also means they have more experienced pilots. That’s just not true. In this case, it’s not the size of the aircraft that equals the capability of the pilots. It’s up to the airlines operations to decide whom they put in the cockpit. Of course that doesn’t mean that they allow just anybody fly their planes. Of course the pilots need specific training for the specific planes they fly. It just doesn’t mean that you’re always going to get the more experienced one.
