Lower East Side
The Lower East Side probably has some of the most interesting and culturally diverse communities in the city, given that this is where thousands of immigrants first made their homes back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. You will also find loads of corner markets and cafes that offer more ‘traditional’ types of food, as well as bakeries and delis that have been around for years. The neighborhood is as yummy as it is interesting and full of history.
