Keeping Her Alive

Loadholt knew that Cuesta was going to go anytime soon, but he helped her fight for her life. He held her up, and with the help of his companion, encouraged her to breathe. They kept her awake as they waited for medical help to arrive. In fact, they even prayed with her just so she didn’t lose hope.

Waiting Game

It took a few minutes for help to arrive. Cuesta was now on her last leg. Her wounds were severe, numerous, and deep. More importantly, the fact that she had to crawl several meters on her own had taken its toll. Nonetheless, she waited for the ambulance and as soon as the paramedics came, she was wheeled to the hospital where they gave her the best help possible. But was this enough?
