The Kidnappers

After weeks of questioning and searching, the police had two suspects in mind, Arthur and Irene Seale. Prior to the abduction, in fact, the woman was seen jogging around Reso’s neighborhood. This was her way of monitoring the victim’s daily routine. He pulls out from his driveway every single morning and then stops the car to retrieve the newspaper.

Finding the Loophole

This was when Irene came up with an idea, which she immediately shared to her husband. One morning, she deliberately kicked the newspaper further so that it would take Reso a longer period of time to retrieve the paper. As expected, the victim did walk further. She immediately entered her husband’s vehicle and they both blocked Reso’s path immediately.
