Arthur then decided to resign from work. His goal was to start his own furniture business in the Carolinas. He was hoping that this would take off smoothly. Unfortunately, fate had other plans. He and his wife went broke. They left town owing money to creditors that they had no choice but to move in with his parents to save money. This was when things started going downhill. They needed money fast.

Hatching A Plan

Because the Seales’ lifestyle required money, they hatched a plan to kidnap Reso. It may have worked but when he died of a massive heart attack while in captivity, their dream of acquiring quick money was foiled. However, Art and Irene continued to dangle Reso’s life in front of the cops, but after three days, Irene started to feel deep guilt.
