Don’t Think You’re Not Older

In Korea, you may not be as young as you think you are as everyone is born “one year old” in the country and even gets a year older on new year. This is because of the East Asian age reckoning, which is still common in Korea. This means it’s possible for you to be two years older than your western age. Don’t be surprised as well if you get asked your age as this is not considered rude. This is only to establish who is the more senior as they regard seniority important.
