Don’t Take The First Bite
When you are about to eat, no matter how hungry you are, don’t be the first one to take the first bite. When dining in Korea, it is the custom to let the elder person to take the first bite and eat first. This is the signal that everyone else can start eating. It is important not too eat too fast as well as it is also rude to leave the table before everyone finishes eating, especially the elder. Don’t create the impression that you are waiting on them as they might hurry eating.
