Forget Basic Etiquette

Being a predominantly Christian country, certain civilities prevail in the Bahamas. It is common to greet strangers good morning or the appropriate time greeting…and “please” and “thank you” must always be used when proper. Shaking hands is the common non-verbal greeting for any gender. Public display of affection like kissing is frowned upon. Lastly, if you are invited to a home, always bring a small gift, it is expected.
