While almost all the British speak English, the diversity of people and cultures in the United Kingdom means that there are other languages spoken. Native dialects such as Welsh, Scottish, Gaelic, Ulster Scots, Scots, Irish Gaelic and Cornish, as well as foreign languages brought in by immigrants, add to the interesting mix of tongues present in the UK.
