You might not be aware of this but many Irish cab drivers are actually very educated. Most are said to be experts in a number of academic fields and many even hold doctorates in their respective fields. Of course, this also makes them feel the need to put their point across and share their opinions with their passengers, but you shouldn’t debate with them. Rather, just sit back and listen to what they have to say and nod your head. It’ll save you the trouble of having to argue and possibly lose, no matter how knowledgeable you may be on the subject too.
