Decide To Drive
Firstly, the Irish drive on the left side of the road, something most Americans are not familiar with. Secondly, most of the Irish roads in the countryside are not only exceedingly narrow, but getting around can be incredibly confusing as well. Plus asking for directions will seriously get you nowhere, so you might as well hire a tour guide and sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.
