Butcher The Irish Language

While the rest of the world tends to refer to their language as ‘Gaelic,’ if you ask the locals, they will say that it is, in fact, called ‘Irish.’ And while this is their original language, most Irish folk speak English as their first language, even though it may not exactly sound the same as the rest of the world. Should you decide to go to Ireland, it won’t be expected that you speak any Irish. They would actually prefer that you don’t try to lest you butcher the language all together.
