Filipinos have a very distinct mentality from their asian neighbors. It is also clearly because of their diverse heritage, as well as being predominantly Catholic. And while different regions have their own specific local traits and dialects, the locals do not consider themselves as asians…they make the proud distinction of being Filipino.
