The Krebs Family
Kreb’s Father, Allan, feels utterly humiliated by his son’s actions. He remembers hearing about the two missing students but didn’t think his son had anything to do with their murders. Allan had even said that, one time when he went to the San Luis Obispo County to visit his son Rex, he had said, “He come up to me one time and he said, ‘What kind of guys do that, Dad?’ And I said, ‘A no-good, piece-of-s–, son of a bitch.’ And he said, ‘Yeah, I guess you’re right.’”
Was His Childhood To Blame?
When Rex was finally brought to trial for his horrible crimes, his defense team had made it seem that he was a product of a dysfunctional and abusive childhood. They had said that his dad, Allan, was “the monster who created the monster.” Rex supposedly dealt not only with physical abuse from the dad, but his mom who was an alcoholic had left them as young kids, and left her children to the appalling maltreatment of their father.
