Krebs, who was paroled 10 years earlier than his original sentencing, was said to be a star prisoner. He had a reputation for being a low-key detainee, trying to keep the attention off himself. It was said that he was also afraid that the other inmates in the prison would kill him if he got out of hand, so he kept his head down. And lucky for him, he was released ahead of schedule.

It would seem that allowing Krebs to have early parole, caused him to go on to commit even more heinous crimes than what he had done 15 years before. Agent Zaragoza knew that he needed to find more clues to link Krebs to the two missing coeds, but he didn’t know where to start.
