8. Held captive by wardrobe
One day, Alistair McCready of Cambridgeshire, England, was cleaning out his closet. Unfortunately, while he was still in the closet, his wobbly wardrobe tipped over and locked him inside. He tried calling for help, but no one heard him. Just when he was about to give up, he noticed that there was a copper pipe in the closet that he could use to break open a hole in the door. However, this particular pipe was a pressure pipe, and soon as it was removed ice cold water began to flood the small area he was being held captive in. Alistair’s situation quickly went from bad to worse. Eventually, Alistair developed bronchitis from the cold and he died from suffocation.
