Continuing To Fool Others

Even though Bourdin had been found guilty and gone to jail, he was still able to continue his life of fooling others for quite a few more years. Supposedly, Bourdin has taken on over 40 different identities in 16 separate countries including England, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and of course, the United States. And the even crazier part about it is that even into his 30’s, he was able to mimic being a teenager. He even admitted to the world, “I am a manipulator… My job is to manipulate.” And that’s exactly what he did.

His ‘Legacy’

So how did he do it? According to experts, he truly is a ‘chameleon,’ taking on the gait, talk, look, appearance, voice and traits of a teenager. Aside from changing his looks to seem younger than his real age, he even fooled a French doctor into believing that he was a teenager, when in fact he was already 30 years old at the time. And eventually his acts turned into even more characters, not just teens. Some of his other impersonations have been a lecturer, an English tourist, and priest in training, and the most outlandish, a tiger healer.
