Trying To Keep Up The Ruse

It would seem that the PI’s instincts were right. Not only was Bourdin not the 16-year-old Nicholas, he was actually a 23-year-old Frenchman impersonating a teenager. Upon further investigation, Bourdin refused to give blood samples or his fingerprints to prove that he was the long-lost boy. But eventually, the FBI was able to get a warrant in order to find out once and for all if he was really telling the truth.

The Painful Truth

Sadly for the family of Nicholas Barclay, the results of the DNA tests and fingerprint matching told the actual truth. Frédéric Bourdin, as suspected by investigators, was not the missing boy. He was a French import who had never been to the United States before. And if that wasn’t bad enough, what they were going to discover next was going to be even more surprising.
