One such set of grandparents is Kelly John, 30 years old, and ex-boyfriend, Shem Davies. They had gotten pregnant with their daughter Tia, when Shem was just 14 years old. And Tia was also 14 at the time that she had her daughter.

It Wasn’t Easy At First

According to Davies, “My worst nightmare has always been that Tia would repeat my mistake and get pregnant young. [When I found out] I felt the color drain from my face and all I could do was cry.” Despite the difficulty he had accepting the truth at first, now he and the Kelly have embraced their roles as grandparents, no matter how hard it may prove to be.
