Ramming Into State Police Cars

The Mt. Pleasant police were informed that the rapist, still driving the victim’s car, rammed into two State Police cars. He then got out of the SUV and ended up stealing another car, this time a garbage truck. And while there was a short police chase, he ended up hitting another police car, after which authorities were able to shoot and kill him almost instantly.

Who Was He?

Eventually, the police were able to identify the assailant as 30-year old Erik Ramsey. He was on parole just from the last summer, after he had served the minimum 5-year sentence required for ‘assault with intent to do great bodily harm.’ County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewki said, “We don’t know what possessed him to do that. We may never find out.”
