James Persyn III Should Be Proud

James III was given an award for his bravery and was ‘hailed as a hero.’ According to his dad, “We had never really thought about ‘hero.’ I just keep telling him how proud I was of him.” In the end, if it hadn’t been for James III willing to open the door upon hearing the victim screaming hysterically, then she may no longer be alive. Gratefully, the 14-year-old was courageous enough to swallow his fear and come to a woman’s aid in her greatest need.

A Deserving Young Hero

The President of Central Michigan University, George Ross, has said that ‘the school would support the Grand Rapids-area woman and her family.’ And according to authorities, the woman is now back with family and slowly recovering from the harrowing ordeal. And she has 14-year old James Persyn III to thank for that.
