On October 11th, 2015, Jose Ferreira’s life was in shambles. Allegedly weighed down by struggles with an unnamed mental illness, his marriage was ending when he decided to call his wife and confess to a crime that had occurred decades earlier.

Ironically, the string of events that he called his wife about began 33 years prior with a similar call that would haunt Carrie Ann’s mother, Carolyn Tousignant, for the rest of her life. That call came from Carrie Ann’s middle school on March 16th, 1982.
