33 Years After Teen’s Disappearance, Man Calls TV Station With Grisly Confession…

“His story was very detailed — disturbingly so,” said WISN news director Chris Gegg.
Ferreira’s call raised “red flags” for Gegg, who contacted the police to give them the full account before publicly reporting on the story. Unfortunately for Ferreira, his wife had done the same thing. The 50-year-old was arrested the next day and charged later that week for second-degree murder. So what exactly happened on that fateful day?

According to Ferreira, on March 16th, 1982, he had met Carrie Ann Jopek at a party at a neighboring house. He was 17 at the time and this wasn’t his first encounter with Carrie Ann. Ferreira told WISN that he had “lived across the street from Carrie Ann and went to a party with her the night she died.” But the two did more than just party.
