Brown’s body was weak from all the chemo treatments, but she did beat cancer successfully the second time around. And when she felt better, she went back to school. This time, she took it easy and listened to the doctor’s advice. She was kinder to her body and was more mindful of her health.

In Her Future

When Brown was in the 11th grade, she started thinking about her future. After all, college was just around the corner. What was she going to do? She wanted to somehow give back to society after everything she’s gone through. In her difficult journey, she realized that she got support from some of the unlikeliest places.
