Remembering the Nurses
Sick children need all the love and support, especially when they’re in the hospital. Brown got this from the nurses that helped her as she fought for her life. Immediately, she realized what she wanted to become. She was going to become a pediatric oncology nurse. These people made a big difference in her life and she wanted to do the same thing for others.
Paying It Forward
Brown remained extremely grateful to the nurses even when she got out of the hospital and resumed with her life. Thus, her career choice was a no-brainer. “I knew I wanted to help people and I knew I wanted to use my story to help others and give them hope and inspiration,” she said. “The more I thought about it, I knew being a pediatric oncologist nurse would be the greatest field for me.”
