Not Easy
The chemotherapy and radiation treatments for Brown weren’t easy. It was even harder when she was advised to stop all her extracurricular activities. What kept her going was her family. Her parents stayed by her side all throughout. What also helped her were the nurses in the hospital who kept her occupied and entertained while she lay on her bed in the hospital room.
Familiar Faces
Brown knew some of the nurses from the AFLAC Cancer Center. They had been her caregivers when she first got cancer at two years old. She was actually impressed at their dedication. More importantly, she was blown away at just how much they cared for their patients.
