Arresting The Fishermen

Although the Sentinelese tribe cannot be tried for his death, even if they are truly to blame, the 7 fishermen that agreed to bring John to the island for money have been arrested. But the government is still unsure as to how to deal with the entire situation, still deciding whether or not they’ll even bother to retrieve his body.

His Parents Share Their Sentiments

At the news of his death, John’s family put out a statement which shared that they didn’t blame anyone for John’s death, and that they knew he went there of his own free will. They even said that ‘his local contacts need not be persecuted for his own actions,’ and they want to be able to mourn his death without the stigma surrounding his actions.
